Fell Running
Fell running is a great way to enjoy the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors and beyond. The races are multi-terrian and never boring. You could be running on forest tracks, stone paths, fields, mud or even some road. The climbs are tough but the descents are great fun.
We have a local fell running league divided into a summer (Tuesday nights) and winter series (Sunday mornings) and all race routes and dates can be found at www.eskvalleyfellclub.org Why not go over a race route of a forthcoming race while enjoying the Moors, on a weekend stroll. They are also good training for the Cleveland Way Relay race.

All race competitors are advised to take running jacket, whistle, compass, paper map (that is provided) in waterproof case, and bum bag to carry them. However you rarely use them as races are taped for the whole route and there are some marshals. Fell running shoes are recommended especially after rain.
